In collaboration with the lab of Nancie Archin, we have characterized the phenotypic features of HIV reservoir cells from tissues of ART-suppressed people living with HIV. Ongoing work characterizes the mechanisms of HIV persistence in tissues and ways to eradicate the tissue reservoir, particularly that of the gut.
