In collaboration with the lab of Martin Jakobsen, we have investigated the molecular mechanisms by which primary fibroblasts from mucosal tissues promote HIV infection of cellular targets. Ongoing work examines the effects of type I IFN on HIV replication and reservoir reactivation, and the intracellular sensing of HIV.
